Last year’s North Star Awards event was a wonderfully successful and uplifting evening. We are continuing this tradition of honoring Northside residents for their community building efforts in this year’s 3rd Annual North Star Awards on Friday, December 9, 6:00 pm at Warner Park Community Recreation Center.

We invite you to help us recognize and honor all the large and small contributions made by Northside citizens that help to make our community a better place to live. Too often people don’t realize that their contributions are important, so we want to create an ongoing legacy of recognition and appreciation.

Council members and staff work to improve the quality of life of all Northside residents through community building and advocacy. Our community newspaper, the Northside News, chronicles many of these efforts – such as our work to bring a grocery store back to our community, advocating for safer biking opportunities and a public swimming pool at Warner Park, and improving student achievement at our Northside schools.
Please become a sponsor of the 2005 North Star Awards – support the “North Stars” of our community and the work of neighbors and groups through the Northside Planning Council.
If you become a sponsor by October 5, your name will be listed in the October/November issue of the Northside News (and other materials related to the event) and will demonstrate your early support of what has fast become a Northside highlight of the year.
